Hey all. Looks like it’s been quite some time since I wrote a blog just for blogging’s sake. To any newcomers, I’m usually only talking about music-and-pop-culture things besides whatever I’m doing at the time. You’re not gonna find celebrity gossip or conspiracy theories. Well, other than the Monkees conspiracy that Chris and I are positive we’ve uncovered, maybe. :::shifts eyes nervously:::
I guess I got caught up in the promotion for Losing Salt, Sex Times Three and the RetroLowFi compilation, as well as spending as much time as possible with my family… I didn’t even think about blogging. Now that I’m actually sitting down and making time for one, I have no idea what to talk about. I’m looking at the screen and keyboard like a dog being shown a card trick.

As many of you know, I tend to get very generous around the time of my birthday. Usually each year I try to give you at least a single’s worth of songs you won’t have heard before, as well as a free show, right? Well, the birthday shows were getting to be more work than fun, so I didn’t want to do one this year. But boy, have I got a special thing for you…:
Awhile back, my wife and I decided to parody the fledgling electroclash genre by making the worst version of it possible. Somehow it ended up being pretty fun to listen to, and oddly danceable… if you like experimental stuff, of course. The lyrics were all inside jokes between us about Star Wars cereal, Rob Zombie movies, Aqua Teen, Hugh Laurie, etc. The results can only be described as “nerdclash” My wife and I traded vocals on what became the following EP:
The Glowy Stickers – “Rock Stars Made Out of Stars”.
01. Danzig, You Want Something To Eat?
02. A New Force At Breakfast
03. Electroclash Applegator
04. Wait For The Beep
05. You’ve Got Ice Cream On Your Nose

(This was available for a very short time once, without any publicity at all, really. This is the first time I’ve made this widely available for any length of time. I’ve always wanted these songs to get stuck in people’s heads.)
Aaaaaaand, if that weren’t enough:
As hinted at exactly once by me in a random place, here’s the second part of Marc’s birthday present to you: it’s another collection of random covers I’ve done in the last few years. Don’t take it too seriously, because I sure didn’t. These were just recorded for my own fun, and as such, it’s the good kind of sloppy. Some you’ll have seen around, others were just recorded last week. First person to guess all of the original artists that did the songs first wins… I dunno, I’ll come up with something. Here’s a major hint: one of them is just an alternate version of one of my own songs. Enjoy!
“Share The Covers, Bitch!” Part Two:
01. Good Enough For Now
02. There’s A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears He’s Elvis
03. Yesterday Is Here
04. I Will Keep You
05. Hannah & Gabi
06. Mary Anne With The Shaky Hands
07. Small Heads
08. Free Four
09. Circle Sky
10. They’re All In Love

Hope you like them!
