Another new Marc With a C album? Free?!?
Hi everyone! Here’s a few tidbits to kick off your new year with:
1. If you missed this years annual holiday show, you’re not totally out of luck. The show was recorded and edited to be the third installment in the series of official Marc With a C live albums: The Third Planned Slip. It won’t cost you a single thing to download, as per usual. You’ve just got to go here and download it! The show was much more sedate than the average holiday shindig, but that’s made for a very different sort of live package… with a setlist you’re probably going to be pretty surprised by!
2. So many podcasts and such have highlighted my songs recently, and I’d especially like to thank the following: Nerdy Show, Hipster, Please!, and Wired.com’s GeekDad! (For a guy that doesn’t tour, I sure get around, don’t I?)
4. Speaking of this very website, you’ll also find some new interviews posted in the press section, aas well as details of two new upcoming shows. One is on January 23rd at Stardust in Orlando, Florida for a live podcast hosted by Mark Baratelli, while the other is – get this – a Valentine’s Day tribute to Tom Waits. The latter show is being held on 2/14 at The Black Box in Orlando, Florida. Super cool.
5. And finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t send you a healthy reminder about the show coming up this weekend in Orlando. Get a load of this lineup: Sci-Fried. Emergency Pizza Party. Krondor Krew. Captain Dan & The Scurvy Crew. In one night, with yours truly… seriously. I highly recommend that you partake in illegal activities if you must in order to ensure your presence at this New Year’s Geek show. It’ll take place at West 57th in downtown Orlando. Admission is ten bucks, age limit is 18 and up (sorry), and the show starts around eight PM. I perform *very* early in the show, so please don’t be late. Otherwise I’ll have to entertain the soundman and the other bands with my oh-so-witty banter.
Oh, there’s more that I could pester you with, but I’ve filled your head with enough for now, me thinks. Please don’t forget that you can always download each of my records for absolutely no money whatsoever. Eat your veggies, kids!
Love on ya,
Marc
