It’s true. Jay from fivethreedialtone.com did an interview with me over the internet a few days ago. It was oodles of fun, and you should go check it out! Not just because the site is a fun read to begin with, but also because… you can get two advance MP3’s from my upcoming Linda Lovelace For President album: “I Tried To Die Young” and “All My Drug Use Is Accidental”!
Get it while it’s holy. More news soon!

Howdy everyone! It’s time for yet another one of my shameless lists of Marc With a C stuff that I want you to know about. Ready? And… go:
1. SHOW ALERT:
Saturday, April 19th @ Stardust, Orlando, FL. 9 PM:
We rehearsed this setlist today. Expect it to be a long one. We are ready to play a smattering of choice cuts from *all* of the Marc With a C releases to date, including a good chunk of song from the upcoming “Linda Lovelace For President” album. There’s also a song or two in there that I haven’t done in years, as well as some fun covers. Of course, if it were up to me – and if the rehearsal was any indication – the show could very well be nothing but new songs and Kirsty Maccoll covers.
2. WHAT, A NEW ALBUM?
Yep. In case you missed our April 1st announcement, it’s called “Linda Lovelace For President”. It’s a forty minute record chock full o’ surprises, and I couldn’t be more excited to release it to you. Right now you can download it directly from Amazon, but I’ll tell you… when the physical CD comes out this summer, it’ll have a second disc: a DVD of the show that Jen Vargas shot last November. I recently saw some rough footage, and I think you’re gonna be really happy to show it off to your friends. However, if you just *cannot* wait for the official release date (which is looking like July/August right now), you can download it from the following link: http://www.amazon.com/Linda-Lovelace-for-President/dp/B00171GQZO/ref=dm_ap_alb1?ie=UTF8&qid=1207111352&sr=8-1
3. HANNAH, GABI & MARC:
Okay, this is gonna seem super vague, I know, but it’s pretty newsworthy. I’m gonna be on a Lemonheads tribute album covering a track called “Hannah & Gabi”. It was due to be out on April 8th, but has yet to materialize. I’m not sure exactly what formats it’ll be available in, either… but I know that it’s literally coming out any day. Your best bet is to keep checking evandando.co.uk for release info.
4. PRESS FOR THE NEW ALBUM ALREADY?
Nah, just someone taking issue with the title at http://fivethreedialtone.com/podcastbox/?p=412
But seriously, if you’re writing for any press outlet whatsoever and you want a free copy of “Linda Lovelace For President” to *review*, just tell me.
5. A SONG BLOG?
Yes. For the next nine weeks on my MySpace blog (www.myspace.com/marcwithac) I’m telling you the secrets behind the Marc With a C tracks you’re most curious about. I kicked this week off with the tale behind “I Am Going To Fuck Your Life Up”, and I’m totally taking suggestions for the next couple of tracks to talk about. You’ll win a prize at the end. I’m serious.
5. WE GET RANDOM:
a) Chris Zabriskie is doing a free solo show at Taste on Thursday, April 17th in Orlando FL. His opening act is our buddy Patrick Bell. You should go. I’m certainly going to be there. Feel free to come and say hi and bring me codeine for this impending head cold that keeps toying with my psyche. And to see my buddies because they are awesome.
b). If you haven’t seen “Walk Hard” yet, you’re only hurting yourself. Snobs.
c). Ditto for the new Breeders album.
d). You may have seen that “Previously on Lost: WHAT???” video that’s been, well, everywhere this week. (Seriously, it’s the #2 most spread viral video in the world this week!). You may not know that Marc With a C drummer Chris Zabriskie put it together, and that this thing has not only been in the New York Magazine, but it also aired on G4… and Jorge Garcia – the actor that plays Hurley on “Lost” – has also commented about the video. Get in on the fun here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=GcatQSyRK6c
e). That’s all I can think of at the moment. Don’t worry, way more is coming soon. I work way too hard to only have this much news to report.
Love on ya,
Marc

So, remember 24 hours ago when I announced that my new record, Linda Lovelace For President, was finished and would be available in May? It’s totally true. Some thought I was pulling an April Fools prank. Although… I did leave out a few choice details. Let’s go down the checklist of facts, shall we?
1. Is it done?: Yes.
2. Is that really the cover art?: Yes.
3. Was that a real tracklist?: Yes.
4. Is it really called “Linda Lovelace For President”? Yes.
5. Will it be out in May?: Kinda.
It’s actually already available in DRM-free digital format exclusively at Amazon.com for $8.99. You can even hear some samples. Here’s a link: http://www.amazon.com/Linda-Lovelace-for-President/dp/B00171GQZO/ref=dm_ap_alb1?ie=UTF8&qid=1207111352&sr=8-1
When I said it’d be available in May, I wasn’t pulling your leg. That’s when you can download it from iTunes.
The physical CD will be available in August… with the DVD we shot last year as a bonus feature.
And finally, we’ve put up a song from the album, (“Jessica, I Heard You Like The Who”) on the MySpace player so you can hear a fun full tune from the album!
I swear, some of you have no faith in me
Love on ya,
Marc
